Air Fuel Meter N326 13 210

Does anybody know what car this afm goes on? It meets the spec of a n/a and a turbo according to the fsm. Another part # on it is 197100-3250

N326 13 210 for a 86-88??????????????what, n/a or turbo?

RestoTII 09-02-02 09:03 PM

looks like the 86-88 NON TURBO afm. If you have the Parts Catalog (which I can try to link to), it's on page 1-K4. The Turbo afm is N318 13 210A

edit: Wait a second, I helped Hailers? :D

RestoTII Thank you, thank you, thank you. The one I stuck in the N/A earlier had the N318 number. Its like I threw three of them in a hat, mixed them up and reached in and took pot luck on the installation.

P.S. Hailers needs all the help he can get. Thanks.

Just by the way,the N318 AFM is capable of measuring up to 720 m3/h,while the N326 only has a capacity to measure 600m3/h.

makes sense that it would flow more, but I don't see why mazda didn't just use the 318 in all of them

Interesting - did you measure this or find the value somewhere? Many people claim the two units are the same (regardless of the obvious difference in part #s).

I have a wide band 02 meter from OZ. One thing I noticed was the original afm showed 14.2 afr at idle(I had set it with the variable resistor days before) and the N318 when installed showed 12.2 afr at idle. Also when driving at full throttle in 2nd and 3rd (3-6000 rpm) the N326 would show a afr of 11.2 but the N318 was showing in the mid 10's afr. Might recheck that sometime, but thats what I remember off hand. Caught my eye because I thought days before when I saw the 11 something afr with the N326, that that was pretty rich(although I admit I'm not sure what *rich* is, even though I know what 14.7is). How rich is rich is a question mark in my head.

I might put the N326 in my turbo next year for emissions inspection seeing I was a touch high in richness at 25mph than would be allowed in Canada. Not in Texas though.

Hailers: The other AFM wont affect your emissions at 25mph - that test is intended to test the closed loop system. If your rich, then you have a problem in that loop.

Anybody got the curve for the N318?

Henrik.....Yo, I know at idle I'm not in closed loop at idle, I was just hoping(actually not a big worry) that somehow the N326 might show leaner at 25mph vs the N318. I understand what your saying.
