hks VPC if you can find one

Sesshoumaru 07-15-03 01:17 AM

any stand alone

MrBob 86 07-15-03 01:17 AM

You need a standalone engine management system. $$$

Dan H 07-15-03 01:17 AM

You need a stand alone ECU to have the car run PROPERLY without an AFM. (Microtech, Power FC, Haltech, etc.)

Dan H 07-15-03 01:18 AM

Oops. :D

Yuppers :)

Have a Microtech on mines.

RX7-RICE EATER 07-15-03 03:43 AM

go microtech if you got the cash, its quite a bit cheaper than haltech, heard great things about, im planning on going upgraded ems(soon as i have enough money), its not cheap though, but youll need it if you go upgraded turbo.

Hate to dig up old threads, but how well does the hks vpc work for this purpose? And how much adjustability does it have? Does it function like a s-afc/s-afr? Thanks.

NZConvertible 08-16-03 01:44 AM

The HKS VPC was only available for S5's and was extremely expensive, as much as a decent aftermarket EMS. Not worth considering.

No shit...that thing was BIIIIIG bucks . Not available for S4. HKS had it on their drawing board but never came through.

Not that you are doing anything wrong by asking the question, but I'm not sure if you are aware of this small detail. On the left side of the screen, just above the name of the person who posted the reply, you will se a date and time stamp. Note that the stamp for this particular conversation (aka Thread) is 8-16-03.
