Afc 4 91na Fc ???

I've been looking at the APEXi super AFC, for my 1991 N/A RX and i have read that it will pretty munch let you adjust your air fuel ratio. OK that's fine. But how will that affect the feel of driving my RX. I've done alot of crap to my car already, an auto to manual tranny swap, Full exaust (headers are cool), intake underdrive pulley's tokico 5 way shocks and springs to match, and i got bored one day and stripped the interior for autocrossing. LOL
Anyway will this thing make my RX a Gass Guzzler, it looks like i will need an air fuel ratio gague and an exaust temp gague probably pillar mounted to make it an ideal setup, (and not blow up anything) Let me know what u guys think.....Marco

I'm planning to get the s-afc also. Do you have to have an a/f gauge with the s-afc? I would think that something that adjusts the air/fuel mixture would also be able to tell you if you're running rich or lean.

No I don't think you have to get anything with it. It sounded like it was self contained. I was just saying that for the ideal setup with this thing mounted in my glovebox I would want a pillar mounted air fuel rattio gague and an exauat temp gague

If you don't want your FC to be a gas guzzler, then you need at least an A/F meter to tune it. Ideally you should dyno tune it, but back to most people's reality...

An A/F meter and an EGT gauge would be ideal. I would just get the AFC and an A/F meter, then get the EGT after you do some tuning so that you can have more input for your tuning purposes. The AFC does not have an A/F meter in it, but you can connect one of it's extra wires into the O2 sensor and read the A/F ratio by the voltage. I have an install write-up on my site if you need it.
