Adjusting idle and tps question
 

So I have a 88 T2, I'm close to having it run properly. But now I can't get the dam idle right. Set my tps to 1k at closed throttle. Turned the car on and it won't hold idle. Took it for a spin like that and drove soo good. But just won't hold idle. So I adjusted the idle to around 800-900rpm and not my tps is at 2k, should I mess with the secondary throttle plate screw instead? It still has the factory white paste over it. Should I remove it? Thanks in advance

Don't do it by Ohms, do it by voltage, and when you adjust it make sure you have the set coupler jumped

Are you sure your throttle is completely closed? Specifically, has the plunger at the back of the TB expanded enough and pushed the cam off the fast idle mechanism? Along with what the previous poster said, this is important so that you're setting your TPS with a throttle that's actually closed. I wouldn't mess with neither the primary nor secondary throttle plate adjustments. Some of these are set with the throttle body out and a feeler gauge between the butterflies and bores.

What do you mean by having the set coupler? Yeah I'm using voltage when. The tps is plugged in.

Should they be completly closed? I just switched last week from a fully modified throttle body to a completly stock one. And the bottom throttle plates were completly closed, the single top plate was a hair open.
