Adaptronic ecu
Hey so i was wondering if this site was trustworthy?
https://www.aftermarketecushop.com/adaptronic-ecu/ecu-s4-mazda-fc-rx7 Also can this ecu power my windows and whatnot. It seems a bit pricier than other ecu's, is it decent enough and better than the stock ecu, beginner friendly and all that? Im basically looking for something that doesn't cost a fortune and gets the job done and is somewhat easy to tune, i did some research and this seems alright but i wouldn't know cause ive never messed with ecu's before but im willing to dive into a shxt show and figure it out if i have to to figure things out. I just need some good info and stuff to point me in the right direction is all. |
No. Run away from Adaptronic. They have a really bad track record, and i believe the support is gone for them.
A stand alone will not control your body functions like lights, windows, climate control etc. Those are controlled by relays and modules already in your car. If you're asking if it controls windows, can i assume your windows don't currently function? Or are you just curious if that's a feature? Are you planning to tune this yourself? What are your goals with replacing the stock ECU? If you clearly define what you're trying to get out of an aftermarket ECU that will help guide your decision. I would pick from some of the big name brands that are well supported. Haltech and LinkECU are the two that always come to mind. |

Adaptronic no longer exists, it was bought out by Haltech and then discontinued in 2022. They ended all service in May 2023. There might still be new ECUs for sale out there, but no warranty support etc.
I’m not aware of any ecu controling power windows, but I’m not S4 proficient. That’s usually a chassis wiring/electrical issue. good luck on those dreams! . |
