Accelerated Warm-up System solenoid valve.

Can anyone give me a location of this thing on a S5 N/A? Also, any other input on why my car does not go through the accelerated warm-up cycle would be greatly appretiated.

A vac leak will cause the system to "disarm" itself. Don't ask me how or why, but I know it to be true...

S5's don't have the rad temp switch, do they? On S4's, disconnecting that switch will disable the 3K warmup.

The BAC is also used, along with the air bypass valve, so if either or both of these systems are inop on your car, that may be the problem...

On a series five non turbo, it's located on the rear of the engine, left of centerline by a couple of inches. I've never seen one in my life on a series five, but I have the ability to download the series five fsm and look in the fuel section and look at pictures.

The AWS on a series five is composed of the AWS valve and inputs for it from the water thermo sensor, neutral and clutch switches, throttle sensor(full range). I figured this out by downloading the free, online fsm for the series five and looking at the pictures. The bac is also a player as seen in the pictures in the free download on the internet.
