ac/ps removal info

i'm gonna take out the ac/ps unit. does anyone have any info on how to do this? one other question. how much does a "cold-air" intake matter when you live in the desert when its say 115 degrees outside and the air being scooped off the freeway is probably hotter than that? any info is greatly appreciated..

well as far as the ac removal just remove everything >> Ps is a diff story you can just remove it but there might be a chance of your rack drying up.. You can get a manual rack and all your problems are solved you also will have a greater steering agle with a manual rack. As far as the cold air yes it will help, just not tremendiously but i can guarantee that its hotter under your hood than it is being scooped off the freeway

i already took both belts off to see just how much it would help. i was surprised i could definitely feel the difference in power to the wheels. is this bad for the steering rack tho?

In my TII, I want to remove the A/C. I looked at it, got so confused trying to follow what to remove, and just thought to myself, "I'll just ask the Rotary Doctor to take it off for me when he does my rebuild. :p

The A/C isn't really all too difficult. Start anywhere! Just go one direction removing one bit by another. The only difficult work on it I would say is the typical work on any FC (Rust, freeze, corrosion, etc.). Let Freon Ring!

make sure to bleed the system out before hand, other wise you'll get a face and mouth full of cancer as soon as you open the lines.
