ABS hubs interchangeable with non-ABS hubs?

Can I take the speed sensor off the hub and put it on a non-abs hub? Reason being I have a bad bearing on an ABS hub, and If I can just switch it with a good used hub off my parts car, I'd be much happier then drilling out the old bearings. Can this be done?

^^Sorry, been meaning to reply at this thread for about an hour, just got really busy and left my computer.

YES

If you have a base model, they might be different, but if you are swapping from the GXL with or without ABS or the TurboII, they'll be the same. Also, they still might be the same between the base and what you have, but they could possibly be different.

I'd say go for it :bigthumb:

if you want to keep the abs you need the abs hub. I'm pretty sure the non abs one won't have the mounting hole for the abs sensor.

I'm calling mazdatrix to see if that hub will work.

GOOD NEWS. The part numbers for ABS hubs and non ABS hubs are exactly the same. There is a hole on both hubs for the speed sensor to bolt up to. This makes me VERY happy.

Your ABS actually works?
