? about steering column and steering hub
 

Did any of you guys have to remove your steering column cover to put on your hub and then leave it compltley off? because my nrg short hub is touching the steering column and it doesnt tighten all the way. So im getting kinda paranoid. Am I doing something wrong? missing something? I will provide pictures when I have the chance. Thanks.

The shroud that covers my Grant hub was slightly too long and hit the surround.
After a few days of squeaking, I removed the hub to see that it was slowly- too slowly- sawing through the plastic.
I finished the job for it and all has been fine since.

Aftermarket stuff doesn't always fit as well as it could.

^thats true you sometimes always have to modify something. Anyways I completly took off my shroud and put everything on. The thing still worrying me is that when I tighten the bolt for the hub it doesn't seem to stop and get tighten, but the bolt keeps turning until I accidentally broke the switches that automatically turns off the signal switch. Anyways everything is on but it also wobbles too... I have a feeling that I have the wrong hub but on the box it says mazda. I might have to call the place I got it from but before that anyone have suggestions?

Yeah I ended up breaking my turn signal/cancel plastic wheel when installing the NRG short hub. After I removed the broken piece it fits fine, now I just need to trim the plastic steering wheel column shroud so it doesn't compress and pull apart.

Feel like an ass clown breaking it BUT I don't mind having to turn off my signals by hand.

Anyone else with this hub have this issue? I went to get some spacers that were the same size as the factory spacer on the back of the OEM steering wheel but the turn signal canceller was already broken so there was no need for the spacers.

Never tried an Nrg Short hub.I always went Momo,and I have had five?six of them?..all went on fine,didn't break any Plastics or Signal shit..Now,I have a Momo hub,Nrg Regular size Quick release and an Adapter to fit my Grant wheel.It brings the wheel close to you.I can also Bring it ahead another inch with a spacer but opted not to.The signal and headlight switch are just a Touch out of finger tip reach,but I want that,if I decide to Manhandle the car.
