9v Starter Idea (Off RX8's)

Well, after reading the rx8club (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=75780) I was reading about Mazda using the 9v starters instead of the 12V starters and it kind of made sense.

So my question is, do we use a 12V starter? Does anyone make a 9V starter for our car? Does it provide juts more turning power at a stand still?

Personally, on my car, with the supercharger and high compression motor it does take a second to start (but never fails to NOT start...anymore).

Just a 'jacked' idea...

A 9-volt motor running at 12 volts would give more speed and more torque. So it would crank the motor at a higher RPM, but should burn out faster. I guess that would make the car easier to start.

I don't see how this mod would be worth the trouble

With my 86 na it didnt flood as much as it seems they talk about it. It was a huge problem for me with my car.
