91 rx7 N/A wont start plz help

alright so heres what happened i went to school last friday came home took the battery outta my car (went to look at another car but needed battery to start it) so i came home put my battery back in not thinking went to hook up the positive when i touched it it sparked and i relized it was backwards (the battery terminals) so not thinking anything of it i just put them on the right way and went inside... later on i came outside to go somewhere and my car wouldnt start so i just rolled down the driveway and tried bump starting it nothin...but i have power to my interior lights horn does not work headlights turn on but will not go up and down all exterior lights work no turn signals tho or hazzards which worked before...my security light came on also after i hooked up the battery backwards and my main fuse is blown but i have tried jumping it but it just sparks like something is grounded out going to buy a new main fuse now and ill let you guys know.....

Check all the fuses while you're at it.

Done this before...

Check the room fuse, it'll be blown for sure. Also check the ECU fuses.

The Retractor fuse in the engine fuse box plays a role in the lights popping up.

i put a new main fuse in it just instantly heats up like its gonna pop so i pulled it out and what the hell is a room fuse

checked all fuses in car to retractor fuse is also good

You most likely frayed/burned some wires in connecting the battery up incorrectly.

put in the new main fuse and now i have nada not a damn thing like no power anywhere in the car
!!!!!!

the only reason i dont believe i melted wires is because there was not a single puff of smoke and the terminal was only touched for a split second

On the side of the engine fuse box that is closest to the battery is a Black wire that runs from the battery to the fuse box. Check this wire for constant voltage.

alright theres a direct short between the headlight retractor fuse and the one right next to the main fuse closer to the driver fender any ideas where these wires run and what the other fuse is or where else to check for shorts...if i remove the fuses the short is gone but when i hook the battery up it still blows the main fuse

The fuse between the Main fuse and the fender is the 60 amp BTN fuse which sends a White/Red wire to the interior fuse box which powers up the battery buss fuses. These fuses receive power 24/7. The Hazard, Room, Stop, Illumination, Antenna, and Fog lights fuse (if equipped) would be examples.
