89 Mazda Convertible

I have a co-worker who is getting rid of an 89 rx7 convertible with what he says is a blown engine. It is an automatic. How much and where could I locate a replacement engine for this. I live in Madison Wisconsin and could drive a couple hours if needed to pick one up. Is it tough finding a 13b for this? Would one setup for a manual work?

The engine is the same for a manual or auto. A 89-91 turbo engine will bolt right in too on the 89+ auto... but you have to change the computer and the wiring harness to the engine. Engines from the 86-88 models are tougher to adapt, but they WILL work. If you can get it cheap, that is a GREAT "cruisin" car.
