88TII Rotor Housing Question
Just wanted some expert advice and judgement on these two 88TII rotor housings.
Are they useable? One of them has a small bit of rust on the outside edge of the housing as shown in the photos. Any insight would be helpful.. http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...e/100_0733.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...e/100_0732.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...e/100_0731.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...e/100_0729.jpg |
all you have to do rotorforce is slide your nail along the house if you have any kind of groove or anything if your nail catches on anything then its no good and i can see from the corner check if theres any chrome left on the corner of the housing where the corner seal slides on if its deep the housing might not be any good but if its not you just gotta let teh cornerseal break in correctly..

the boot grooving on the outside edge looks rather deep and long, you could use them but they will not give you optimal compression results. the rust on the sealing face is rather normal and can be cleaned up.
