88' turbo2 MAF problems?

I rebuilt my engine and had some trouble starting it, but got it sorted out in this thread with the help of you guys (for reference cause it might be related: https://www.rx7club.com/new-member-r...-88-a-1100525/

I've been breaking it in, set the timing some 600km's ago and just hit 1200km's. I was about to go do a few more but after warming up the engine died and i got stranded.

I had the same issue before, my turbo pressure needle would fall to negative with the key to ON instead of the normal "0" I took of the MAF connector and put it back and wiggled it a little bit and heard the relay click and was able to start again. Sometimes the engine would die with the same symptoms when i dropped the hood and had to do it again. But after a few times i would be able to drive again for a couple hundred km's.

However this time i tried the same thing and it would'nt make a difference. We pulled the MAF sensor and took a look inside. found the soldering got loose from the connector to the PCB. we resoldered and tested the connections and the boost needle is back to 0 with the key to ON but I'm still unable to start.

when manually operating the MAF sensor i hear something happening in the engine so it seems it's working correctly. Checked for spark wich i'm getting. also the plugs would be swimming in fuel so the fuel pump (an FD fuel pump) seems to be working. The spark i'm getting doesn't really look intense but it is sparking so.
When i try to start it cranks and every 2 seconds you kindof hear it wanting to start but doesn't. Any tips are welcome. (i Unflooded the car everytime before trying by pulling the fuses and cranking without spark plugs untill the fuel mist dissapeared.

Could this be a ground? Did I screw up the wiring loom going to MAF? Some othe electrical issue?

On a sidenote, when i crank the engine with everything hooked up i'm smelling some fuel and seeing a little mist. Could this be related?

One thing you could do is test the Brown/White wire of the sensor w/key to on as it should read 5 volts. If it reads 0 volts then the sensor or some other sensor is shorting out the Vref signal. And the Green/Blue wire should read 4 volts w/key to on.
