88 N/A wont crank?
i just bought an 88 N/A Rx-7. The day i got it, started a little funny, but, ive never had a rotary so what do i know. The next day, put in the key, everything comes on, i pushed it to start, no crank, no start. I did hear a hum that sounded like an electric motor, but it was quiet, quieter then i would think the starter would be. I dont know for sure if the starter is even trying. Anyway, tried jumping it, no change. Im assuming the starter is bad, or maybe a grounding fault? I appreciate any wisdom offered.

So you tried jumping it and it didn't take a charge? Did you do the basics.....batt, alt, all the applicable fuses?

well, today it worked
Today, it worked, got above freezing and now its starts, so, i assume there was water somewhere it shouldnt have been and it froze, which either fucked with an electrical connection, or it locked up something that was supposed to move. dunno?
