'88 GXL suspension issues, please help

I ordered:
KYB AGX Shocks 1986 - 1992 AGX Externally Adjustable gas shocks. Price is for a set of 4.

and:
Eibach Pro-Kit springs 1986 - 1992 Lowers car .8", FOR NON TURBO ONLY. NOT CONVERTIBLE.

...from www.shox.com for my 1988 GXL. Having little time to spare lately, I dropped it off at a local shop to have them installed. The results were less than pleasant. In the rear, the struts are longer than the springs, so the springs don't even compress. Super squishy rear ride with occasional CLANG CLANG :(

Now I'm not that smart with these things, obviously, so I'm wondering:
1. Did they install the parts incorrectly?
2. Did I order the wrong parts?
3. Did I order the right parts and receive the wrong parts?

The mechanic at the shop told me that I had the wrong shocks, but KYB doesn't list any other AGX shock part numbers for the FC3S. I chose these springs/shocks based on the article I read here:
http://www.fc3s.org/how_tos/suspensi...uspension.html

Additionally, I ordered some Cusco adjustable front camber plates to install at the same time, and the mechanic told me those couldn't go on because they didn't include some spacer! It was a bad weekend.

Anyway, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should stay away from those idiots...

As for the Cusco front camber plates, did you buy them new?
They are supposed to come with "adapter blocks" which allows you to run your stock-type shocks into them.
It looks like a small shift knob, but it's steel (HEAVY!).

Contact any GReddy dealer - they are all authorized Cusco retailers.
They should be able to give you an answer.
Good luck!

It sucks when you have to use a shop. Next time wait and tackle it yourself, its the only way it'll be done properly.
