'88 5 speed oil change

Howdy! First post!

I just bought a 2nd gen rx7 and I'd like to change the oil in the trans. Does anyone know where the 'fill too' (the plug that when it starts to run out, you know it's full) plug might be on this thing?

I also heard that primary and following coils are interchangable. Is this true?

I'm glad to be aboard this forum; a few very knowledgable people on here and look forward to joining the rx7 pool.

I'm going to get to this before everyone tears you apart.... :)

This information is in the owner's manual that came with the car. Failing that, you can find it in the Haynes manual. If you don't want to spend money on the Haynes manual, the Factory Service manual is available in PDF form as linked in the FAQ. As a last resort, open the hood and look for the screw-off cap with a picture of an oil can on it, or the word "OIL" (or 710).

As far as the trailing and leading coils, they are not interchangable. Not really sure why you would want to do that anyway...

Anyone else posting, keep it polite and friendly.

lol, aaron read the title very closely and then read your quote...

I hope he didnt put tranny fluid down into the regular oil or he'll be having a smoke show when he goes to start it!
