87 T2 Won't Start
 

Alright guys, here's my problem. I raced a stupid cocky Integ last night on the freeway (totally killed him btw) and continued on down the freeway. Once I got off the freeway, my cars idle was insanely bad, it sounded like a huge cam'd V8 or something. I parked the car and turned it off. Went to a bar for awhile, drank a beer. Came back, car won't start. I thought "ok maybe I fowled the plugs or something" So I went home and got some tools and took the plugs out and cleaned em up. Put the plugs back in... still won't start. Finally I resorted to pushing the car to push start it with another car and we got it to clutch start. Idle still sounded f'ing terrible and the car won't stay on at all. What's up with this shit? Did I blow the motor or what?

well, once u got off the free way and drove it to the bar, did it feel like u lost power?

Blown motor. Sad but true. ou have just experienced the most prolific symptom of a thrown apex seal. Do not keep starting the car or you will do far more internal damage.

Once the car got started in the parking garage via the push start, I was driving it and it felt like it had plenty of power getting back on the freeway. Not to say that the engine is blown up is not a possiblility, but before I jump in that camp, what else could it be? I don't agree with the loss of power statement necessarily. Shitty idle, yes. Isn't it possible a hose got blown off or a gasket blew out? He was boosting way higher than he should have been(boost creep). His mods are as follows: Racing beat turbo back, bonez intake, 750cc secondaries, boost guage, water temp guage.

^yup, and what else could I ruin? I alread drove it home from when it was all f'ed up (that took like an hour) so I think all my ruining has been done.

i fried my rear rotor on my 87 na (b4 igot my 87 t2) and drove it back and forth to work (2miles each way) for about 2months just had no damn power but still drove like a v8 sounding but 3cylinder powered metro sad but true and best of luck to you maybe a seal is stuck never know? :)
