87 & 88 parts together?

OKay i saw an ad this guy is selling an '87 rx-7 and it has 74,000miles on it. he wants $1000 which i think is a good deal i still need to call him but i was wondering, right now i have an '88 rx-7 SE. can you use parts from the 2 cars on eachother?? i don't know if the car for sale is a base model but would it matter? i mean could i use it as a parts car or could i use my '88 as a parts for for the 87? and visaversa????
Please help me out. thanks

yes you can

i think that most of the parts are interchangable. however i believe that some of the wiring and other little things are different b/t 87 and 88
but, the mechanical stuff is all the same

Then i supposed that even a power steering pump too right?
Cuz i need to replace mine and a friend of mine has one but his car is 87 and mine is an 88 gxl!

PS pump should be fine.

Big difference is low vs high impedance injectors.. Other than that, it should be fully interchangeable.
