SO hailer says it will start with leading only. Check on spark for now.
Fuel? Smells like it but, have you tested the primary injectors yet? injectors and the injector plugs.

Alright guys, sorry I haven't been on. I haven't thrown a grenade into my car.... YET. I finally got a car and am just trying to work out a good time for my friend to come over and take a look. Thank you SO much for all the support so far :)

So after something like 6 months, my 7 is at my friends house and he's finally working on it. He thinks it's the wiring harness. I just bought one off JDM_FC for a great price. We'll see how this goes.

OK! I'm up and running everyone! I've been driving around now for about a month!

Apparently, according to my friend I gave my car to, when I tried to follow the steps on how to reuse the NA harness (which I thought were confusing) I pulled a plug from the ecu car side that gave the comp the crank angle sensor signal to go ahead and start. *Sigh* Silly me. 6 months to figure out a little wire got pulled.

Oh well, live and learn! I've got more issues now that I'm running! So look for my newest installments of WTF Is Going On Now!? Lol

I bought my 86 GXL with the wires to the afm not matching after the previous owner butt connected the wires. Is the wires on the afm correct? It seems like the wires would have been the same colors all the way from the harness to the afm. My fc ranks but will not start, it only starts when I spray carb cleaner and it dies immediately.

Now if you do not have confidence in the harness ground wire you can place the ground wire from the good battery for example to the black wire of the fuel plug and the positive wire from the good battery to the B/W of the fuel plug and this plug does not need to be connected to the harness plug if you choose this method.

Also, it would be very very prudent to prove the pump works by choosing the second method without the key in the ignition and wiring the pump directly (2nd method) will cause the pump to make a sound. If it makes a sound then try to start the car. If your pump doesn't make a sound when directly hooked up to the battery then the pump does not work.

Ok, so today I performed test number 2 on my fuel pump. First I did an in car test and did not hear the fuel pump run. So to be sure I removed the fuel pump and performed the test outside the car. Still the fuel pump did not run. Was this the correct way to test my fuel pump?
