86 Temp gage resistance check

Can some one out there tell me if temp gage test resistance test points for an 86 are the same as an 87.
153.9 ohms =50 degrees c and 12.4 ohms = 130 dergees c. In the 87 workshop manual that info is in section 15 (meters). Thanks

I have found out that they are the same. My temperature meter checked out o.k. so I went to the sender test. I attached a thermocouple from my pyrometer to the sender body and my ohmmeter to the terminal and ground and started the engine. The sender was very close at 50 degrees C . The reading was 153.4 ohms; the manual calls for 153.9; but by the time it got to 80 degrees C it was reading only 34.7 ohms. Manual says 57.7 - 49.3 ohms. I have a new temperature sending unit on order.
My original problem was that my temp gage was running in the upper 10% of the range but I was measuring water temps of 187F to 192F on both sides of the thermostat and near the sender location with an infrared thermometer. 194F should give me about a half way or midrange reading on the gage.
