5th & 6th Ports, Air Pump, ACV, Hoses, and Wires..Oh MY? SEE PIC
 

I am considering what to do with the ACV? And the ports (open, closed, remove?), and the air pump.

Some history, Only one of my 5 & 6th ports is functional. The one towards the front of the engine is completely frozen. I mean that sucker is stuck and it aint moving. So I have one functional port. I tried to loosen the stuck port, and I think I made it tighter, so I don't know if it is stuck in the open or closed position.

This is what the guy who sold me the used RB header and presilencer said:
"There is a rubber tube with two hose clamps taped on the side of the bubble wrap around the header. This is to connect the backpressure return tube coming off of the pre-silencer to the split air return tube. There used to be a flange on the presilencer, but I had removed the flange on my car because of the Bönez cat I had on my car before the header setup. Long story short, if you want your 6 ports to open regularly cut off the flange on your split air pipe and use that rubber hose I taped on there to connect the two."

Now, there are two wires(plugs) that go to the ACV? And two big hoses. Are these needed? One hose goes to the Air pump and the other goes to something in the front of the radiator. I need to know what I can and can't disconnect. What can I remove? What do I need to buy, ACV block-off plate, dual alt pulley, etc.

Ports: Fix them. Properly working ports are important. A lot of people remove them, but there's no need to if they are working properly.

ACV: Remove it. Get or make a blockoff plate. Just disconnect the wires and let them dangle. Remove all hoses that connect to the ACV and remove the airpump.

O2 Sensor: There should be a bung on the header to install it. Do so. If there is no bung, you will need to have one installed. The O2 sensor is an important part of the fuel injection system.

The long "hose" near the O2 sensor is your split air pipe. That's what your ports connect to, and that's what connects to the header. Leave it as is, except to cut the flange off where it connects to the presilencer.

The O2 sensor is only for emissions and fuel economy. You don't NEED it. Thats why road race headers don't have a slot for it.

The stock ECU won't function properly without it. You will still be able to drive the car, but there will be constant error code. Plus, your mileage will drop HORRIBLY. If this is a race car, loose it. If it is a street car, keep it.

I drove without an O2 sensor for a month and noticed only a slight drop in fuel economy, and slightly nastier exhaust smell, and that was it. It didn't even make my check engine light come on.

Anyone have recommendations?

Everything you pointed to except the O2 sensor, rip off and throw away :)

but what happens if you make the aux.ports stay open?
will you loose bottom end torque?
can you remove them?

Yes, you will lose a little bit of low-end torque.

If you wire your ports open your rex will take off like a 88 tercel.
