Maybe next time you will actually post a picture of what you are wanting help with so that someone might help you.

Your link just goes to myspace crap, Not to a picture.

And bumps are forbidden here in the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section. Didn't you read the announcements at the top of this section before posting? Your bumps have been deleted.

just bypass the saftey switch, take off the plastic shroud covering the ignition wiring, one off all the wires are visable, find the black w/red stripe wire and jump a wire into it, have the other end of the wire that you just spliced onto the black w/red one lead down to the starter and hook it up to the male slit connecter (on the starter solinoid) and you will have no safety switch so remember to leave it out of gear or always push in the clutch, here is some pics, the first is the HOTwire and the second is where your safety switch is but mine is off cause i didn't swap out the pedal assembly i just ran a longer piviot bolt.
hope it helps

I imagine you could wire the plug to the nss on the clutch pedal assembly

I think the connector you are referring to is the clutch interlock switch. It is on the back of the pedal assembly and is depressed when the pedal hits the floor. You don't have to bypass it. You can still use it by running a jumper from the black and red wire to one of the spade lugs on the connector. Then run another jumper from the black and green wire to the other spade lug on the connector. This will not allow 12v to the starter without the clutch pedal depressed to the floor.

The connector the poster is asking about it the one that is depressed when the clutch is in its resting position. I believe its called a open circuit relay switch. I seem to recall it's something to do with afterburn but I can't say for sure.

Hope this helps a little,
Brian

thanx that helps alot now i can finish what i started

rotarybeat1287 04-27-07 01:19 PM

looks like you had started or either swapped out the entire pedal assembly. i found it easier to just slide out the long bolt and bolt up the new pedals in the existing assembly. there was a bung even for the clutch spring.

rotary-guy 04-30-07 09:49 PM

thats all i did(longer bolt) and yea the wire i connected to works so it does let 12v to the starter.

danhaggis 05-02-07 09:58 AM

what do you do with the neutral switch and overdrive switch on the 5spd trans???
