59.5 or 60.1 bore spacers?

Hey all I need an immediate answer I'm about to get ichiba v2's in 25mm today. Can anyone also tell me the differences and also will my original studs be sunken w a 25mm spacer.

SirCygnus 09-22-11 11:39 PM

original studs will _NOT_ work at all with a 25mm spacer.

It's not just a 25 mm spacer, the V2 has recessed holes for the OE studs and nuts, and then additional studs are affixed to the spacer. 59.5, and 25mm is 1", but not certain as the length of the RX7 stud, so just measure one and you'll know the answer.
Probably his aftermarket wheels have no recess available for the studs.

You want the one that is for toyotas. The FC is oddball for mazda. In other words 60.1

Only exception is of you're running spacers on stock wheels, then the bore will be too big. But he's going for aftermarket wheels, so he'll need a hubcentric ring anyway.

OP, sorry about not checking my setup. My apartment complex decided it would be funny to repave the area in front of my garage this week. You can just measure the studs as mentioned above.

they fit oh so perfect.

In the end it does not matter that much. The FC is lugcentric. If careful when tightening lug nuts you dont even really need the center rings...i still use them but all they do is help center the wheel when you put it on the hub and lugs...

RXSpeed16 09-23-11 11:26 AM

^+1. You are correct, 'need' was a very strong word regarding the rings. I stated the need for correct bore size for stock wheels. I recently put on 60mm spacers with stock s5 TII wheels and they were stuck on there due to the interference fit. Had to lay under the car and kick the wheel from the inside to get it off. Nerve-racking experience at the very least.

original studs will not allow the lug nuts to seat inside of it and as mentioned not all wheels allow the extra that will stick out

you might be better off ordering standard spacers then installing longer studs on your car

RockLobster 09-23-11 11:54 AM

Thats a good point. Those tuner wheels for multiple diameter lug pattern rings tend to not work at all. But i have had pretty good luck with other wheels, since they have cavities on the back side where the offset with the original lugnuts occurs.

There are multiple factors to consider when using either style of spacer and easy ways to end up returning them with both! ;)

If you aren't planning on bolting on wheels without the spacer, you could cut down the length of the studs.
