3k enough for turbo swap?

Ok my coolant seals are gone and i need a rebuild which will cost mea round 2k if i get someone else to do it. So i figured i might as well get a s4 13bt swap in it. I found the 30k-50kmile engine, tranny, wiring harness for 900.00. Would 3k be enough to do a swap? Im not counting the price of labor to do this but will 2k be enough to get all the parts needed besides engine, tranny, wiring harness since i would already gotten those for 1k?

Sure... I have done them for as little as $500 after I sold all the non turbo parts, but normally $1500 to $2000 is normal.

Just depends on how cheap you can find parts and good of an engine you can get.

ok so i take your car is NA. With no lsd...so your going to need either of the following:

Mazdatrix Custom Driveshaft (for use of t2 tranny to na rear end)

OR you need

T2 driveshaft
T2 Rearend
T2 halfshafts

Also, your going to need the ecu to the 13bt i believe.

I recomend investing the rest of your money into a rebuild for that engine. New seals, and depending on the condition of the housings and rotors, you go from there...

Also check the condition of the turbo, if the mother fucker leaks oil into the exhuast housin...well you get the point.

Actully i have lsd, its a SE but i had one installed. im not sure what it came off of though. So the rearend may be a directbolt on. Although my driveshaft now bolts right in to it. I was looking at getting a Haltech ECU to handle the needs instead of finding a turbo 2 ecu.
