3800RPM continued problem
I'm not sure that you guys are really going to be able to help, but I a bit frustrated. Okay so here's the deal: Did the boost sensor and it did nothing. I then did a fairly crappy job with the ECU. At first there was a great improvement, but then it got worse and eventually back to normal. (within a few days)
Finally I did a good job using a thing I bought that you can screw all the wires together with. I sanded off the metal on the upper left mounting bolt for the ECU. I used my ohm meter and made sure there was a definate conection from the firewall to all of the wires. It's like I did nothing...I'm still assuming it is the 3800rpm problem since it got better for a little while. |
Also check in air intake piping & intake manifold for cracks or leaks. That was the source of my problems.
Is your check engine light coming on? |
are you sure you grounded out the 2 wires going into the same slot on the map. :confused:

Have you run new grounds from the battery?

Vaughnc: Anywhere in particular on the manifold? Do I need to take it off? Engine light has not come on.
Amemiya: It looks like this: |x|x|x|... |x|x|x|... The x's are screws, the | are seperators. Anything not speperated by | is connected already. I put wires along the top connecting all of the screws. Thus it would seem impossible for a failure to occur if I'm getting resistance between all the top screws. Supergoat: No I haven't. I've heard this before, but frankly I don't understand why I would need to. Has this solved anyone's problem before? ...Maybe I should stop bitching and just do it. :) |
