3000 RPMs at start up
I took out the thermostat just to see if the stant thermostant was the problem. I came to the conclusion that it was. And tomorrow I'm going to go to the mazda dealer to get the Mazda tstat.
Afterwards, I replaced all the belts. And started it up. Right when I start the car, the RPM's jump to around 3000 rpm. When I started the car up earlier, before the belt replacement, after i took the stant Tstat out, it jumped to 3000 rpm, then went to around 1500, then dropped to 1000 then to around 850/900 and stayed there. I was wondering if this is a normal reading. Thanks. |
yeah thats normal start up procedure

Except for the 850~900. Get that to 750. :)

i just finished installing the new oem thermostat, it came with the thermostat gasket too.. i got it for 20.02 + tax in case anyone wanted to know how much they cost.
im about to install the spark plugs i just bought at kragen the standard spark plugs, not the platinum ones. I got them for 4.99 each. anyway, do u know the possible reasons why it may be at 850-900 instead of the 750 you mentioned? |
