I just installed my new blitz super sound blow off valve and after i installed it.. my 87' TII idles at 3000rpm. when this happened i told myself it wasnt a good thing. and since im new to the rotary scene, being i just bought my car a month ago, am a little worried. can someboyd tell me whats wrong with my car? or what happened? thanks!

sounds like it may be leaking air make sure adj screw is turned in enough

EX-HONDA 10-23-02 11:50 PM

possibly your old blow off was leaking so idle was way up to compesate , try turning the idle down manualy

mmm i'm an NA guy so i dunno where it is on your car. i would suggest going and buying a haynes manual for the car though :). every owner should have one...unless you have a shop manual :)

You touched something you weren't supposed to...
Do you have a pic?
You might've kinked a coolant line or touched the throttle cable by accident...

Did this start when the weather started to get colder? Does it go away when the car gets fully warmed up?

Detriuch 10-28-02 10:37 AM

check that bov. and any old/ possibly broken vaccum lines. and all of your intake manifold gaskets. it will jump up there in idle cause air is coming in after t he mass air and it cant account for it

TsunamiDrifter 10-28-02 08:49 PM

this started as soon as i installed my bov, before my car's idle was still high, but at like 1700rpm, not liek it is now, frieking 2800 rpm.
