2nd gen's would be better w/o bumper trim

Has anyone ever had their bumper trim removed and filled in the groove where the bumpers were (maybe with bondo or something) to create a smooth contour? I think that would make our cars look much better (not so 80s-ish). I've never seen this before, so maybe it can't be done, but if you have any pics of this, I'd love to see them.

Thats certainly looks very different. I'd say it looks like some kind of undercover cop car style. Nice work.

DAMMIT the pics dont work.... I want ot see this too.

Rxmfn7 11-13-03 06:39 AM

Nice body work on that FC. To do something like that, especially on a black car, takes some skill..
I personally love the look of 80s sports cars, and thats exactly what the Rx-7 is. I even like the black mouldings better than the body matched S5 ones.

Josepi 11-13-03 07:36 AM

No mouldings? Just look at a mid-late 80s 944 and imagine...

;)

Bukwild 11-13-03 08:26 AM

how much weight did the body filler add?

The Unsent 11-13-03 08:52 AM

Mr. Eccentric 11-13-03 08:55 AM

Uhhh... I prefer the s5 body color moldings.

Liquid Anarchy 11-14-03 03:16 AM

That... is... pimp.

I'm mulling over making an S5 version... but w/ the stock colored S5 TII rims

kiyoshi 11-14-03 06:52 AM

I like that. I think no trim works on black car well. Yeah very Mad Max :)
