2nd gen newbee

i've been a 1st gen 12a owner but just picked up an 88 n/a and the motor is in peices and figure it's the best time to make more power but need to know what the best thing i should do. I know i'll be turboing it but not sure of all what i should do. I'm looking to get 400+ maybe 500 hp

DavidHolmesIII 02-06-08 02:00 PM

how are your funds?

Chaotic_FC 02-06-08 02:18 PM

i quote from the identical post named "more power"

well, you should start by searching
but i'll give you a couple hints
its gunna require a full rebuild on the 13b engine
a bigger turbo
standalone
bigger injectors
FMIC
exhaust
clutch
radiator
and so much more...

I'm assuming that you're using an n/a 13B to start with, since you said you'll be turboing it.

Search for Aaron Cake's writeup on a 6-port turbo. To get to 400HP will take a good deal of time and money. For 500HP, you'll also need a good deal of knowledge and luck. Especially if you're talking about those figures without nitrous.

He said he's turboing it, so I think he's working with a 13B, not a 13BT. That means he has even more work ahead of him.

You should post this in the lounge.

Title - I'm New here - need help turbo'ing S4 N/A for 500RWHP
You'll get way more replies way faster

MmSadda 02-06-08 02:33 PM

True. You should put this in the lounge. Most of the older turbo 2nd gen guys, like TitaniumTT hang out in there now.

TitaniumTT 02-06-08 02:45 PM

Seriously - right now there's only like ~30 members in the 2nd gen section and over 50 in the lounge. Plus we give you e-cookies

phoenix7 02-06-08 02:50 PM

and e-beatings!!! :rlaugh: that's mean TTT!! That's just as bad as telling kids to get in the white van cuz you got candy and you have other people with you so he can get candy faster. :rlaugh:

MmSadda 02-06-08 02:55 PM

wtf, Phoenix? TT knows WAY more about this forum and FCs than you do.

thomascjd 02-06-08 02:59 PM

where is the lounge

Chaotic_FC 02-06-08 03:06 PM

this is the lounge
https://www.rx7club.com/lounge-192/
but we can still help here
tell me
is it a 13b? or a 13bt?

thomascjd 02-06-08 03:23 PM

based on what? Just follow the cookie trail into the white van with the Lounge decal on the side.

As far as the OP:

Did you read the FAQs? The information available is so vast that it will make you wonder why you wasted your time writing/making a new thread about it.
