2nd Gen Component Comparrison Chart?

Well, I love my 1987 GXL and plan to keep it in pristine condition through regular maintenance/upgrades. From what I have read the Turbo II is where it is at for highest performance parts among the 2nd Gen. Does anyone have or know where to find a comparison chart describing what came as stock in the various models? What parts would be a good upgrade to pull from a TII to a GXL (suspension, ignition, fuel system?) Any Advice would be appreciated. Also True or False replacing the cat is the most beneficial initial upgrade for our cars?

Happy Trails....

Ryuhs,

If your wanting to push more HP from your GXL you'd need the TII transmission, drivetrain, rear diff, etc. The TII's drivetrain is MUCH!!!! more heavyduty than the NAs.

You might consider swapping the GTU-S or TII rear diff for better gearing. I THINK (not sure) the superchargers come with adapters for the NA piping.

The TII's engine, manifolds, drivetrain, transmission, drive axel, rear diff, suspension, springs, shocks, wheels, etc.. are beefier.

hope this helps.
