1st or 2nd

Hi,
I currently have a silver series 2 which I want to sell (the body isn't that good). I will have enough money to get either a great first gen or a relativley stock second gen (n/a). What do you guys think I should get? The first gen has more potential in a straight line but I have heard that 2nd gens handle better,I have never driven one, is this true? If so is it possible to make a first gen handle as well as a 2nd?

(I posted this in the 1st gen forum but wanted an opinion from you guys)

Yes you can get a first gen to handle just as good if not better than an 2nd gen. Also it does weigh less than a 2nd gen which helps :)

I've driven a modded 1st gen, and I own a N/A FC. IMO my FC is a "nicer" car, but the FB was a ton of fun. My FC is faster, but the FB felt more nimble, and is smaller and more tossable. Just judging fun factor, Id say FB..

I own both a 1st gen and a 2nd gen. and they are on the same level all around...except for looks. The 1st gen gets compliments but mostly from people who are into cars. The second gen gets compliments from everyone and anyone, girls, kids, grandmothers... but the 1st gen weighs less so it makes up for it.
BOTH respond EXCELLENT to ANY aftermarket additions. So if you're looking for which one is a better all around performer my opinion says tie.
