1988 GXL wheel sizing?
So, I'm found a set of wheels I want to get they are Kansei KNP's. A guy I talked to that has them says 17x9 +35 should fit good with no rubbing. Anyone else running this size or recommend something else?

I've got 17x8 +35 (225/45/17 tires) in the fronts with stock struts and I barely clear, so I don't think 17x9s will work without spacers. I found my wheel spacing that works using fc3spro

FC3S Pro v2.0: Mods - Rims edit: added tire size I've also tried 17x8 in the front, and even with the perfect offset they still may not clear depending on tire choice. This was with stock springs. Rolling fenders will get you a little more clearance as well, in case you need to run a spacer to clear the spring. |

FC3S Pro v2.0: Mods - Rims edit: added tire size if i had to do it again, 225 tires are a better fit on an 8" wheel, and i might have done 35 or maybe 40 and run a small spacer to get it juuuust right currently its 17x7 with a 205, not sure about the offset, but 7" is an easy fit |
