So the final touches are being put on my 10AE and i need a favor from someone with an original AE.. If anybody has it on hand or would be willing to measure the exact location of the front fender badges and the mazda decal on the bumper, It would be greatly appreciated.. Stay tuned for a LONG write up on the entire build :)

ok, ever since i've laid eyes on my 10AE, i've been head over heels for the car. the 10AE is my favorite RX-7 and i've spent five years finding the 10AE i have. since there were only 1500 made, i was wondering if any of us 10AE guys have vins that are close. maybe someone has a vin that is next in the order and their cars rolled off of the line close in number or one after another. i just thought it would be neat to throw up either you vin or the last few digits identifying it as a 10AE and see how closely we could get in vins. i'll start. mine is: JM1FC3329J0623490.

Hi my car is not for sale but I would lilke give you my vin # JM1FC3314J0630287,
 thanks have a nice day

i coud realy use those mirror to body seals..heck the mirrors themselves as well as the tail lights would be good to have... :(

PistonLessRX 08-16-10 08:19 PM

the drivers tail was busted.. and the pass mirror was cracked through the plastic and was no good.

time to sell the 10ae.....ill post it up after i get pics

zachg88vert 08-21-10 05:28 PM

all washed no badges back on yet

so here she is all painter and redy to go so many new parts. antenna( it works and i disconected power rto the motor so it dosnt go up and down so it wont break i use cd's ne ways) floormats, a fresh uncut bumper to hide the huge fmic. i ghave new interior pieces to replace the ones that are cracked. i have another tranny cuz 5th grinds in this one (as well as a mazdatrix short shifter and knob so the 10ae one dosnt wear all the way out)

all i have to do is paint the wheels, put the badges on, and clean the paint dust off the interior then its time to sell. its to nice to drive i want somethign i can not be afraid to drive scratch the paint or spin the wheels.

Looks great. I noticed on the pass side at the rear below the gas fill door and below the side trim there is a slight crease. Mine was the same way and I was wondering what causes that? I had it fixed but it was a sloppy job which made it worse. Anyway, your car looks awesome.

zachg88vert 08-22-10 11:38 AM

thanks man yea i noticed that to it dosnt look like anything was bent or damaged so idk ive seen it a few times . but cant find the cause

notice how this "crease" is on both sides, and continues into the bumper? (provided i am seeing the same thing you are) that is a body line, it is supposed to be there.

to help clarify things, my 10AE has no crease near the filler door other than the recess for the side moulding. in the junkyard pic, there's definatly a dent below the filler door. here's a pic of my 10AE to clarify:

The crease is below the molding on the rough texture portion and was only on one side (gas door side) on my car. I think were thinking 2 different things. I don't think its a body line, but I see it on some other 7s.

0623873 - Stolen........

Might as well add it so that maybe if someone see's it in the future, know that it's my car and that it's fucking stolen :).

Obvious giveaways are messed up studs, ssr reverse mesh, k-sport pro kontrol coilovers, mircotech lt-8 w/ handheld, greddy profec bspec2, autometer boost gauge.

It was stolen Jan 17th 2010 on Sunday morning. I know it's a long time, but I might as well post it since I have free time.

Add 0623564 in Overland Park, KS. I found it on craigslist about a year ago. I bought it with 26000 miles. Now has 31,200 on it. I flew to Ohio to get it and drove it back to Kansas. Will post pics soon.
