1986 N/A 13B fitted to an Auto tranny. please read.

My father bought me a 1986 FC for my B-Day. The Body and interior is in excellent condition. It will be a donor car for my 1988 N/A Manual. The question i pose is this: What are the differences between a 1986 N/A 13B fitted to an Auto tranny and a 1988 13B fitted to a Manual tranny? If Any? My plan is to rape the car for evrything I need and rebuild the engine with a street port and whatever else. I figure it being an Auto it couldnt have been run hard (although it doesnt run and has 115,000miles on it) so it would be a good engine to rebuild. whats youz guyz thoughts?:stickpoke

Well, right off the bad, the TB has 2 extra vacuum lines on the auto, IIRC. The auto car has a counterweight separate from the "flywheel", I forget what the call that on the auto.. So you'll need to pull that off, or go with a lightweight flywheel.

You'll need the ECU from the manual, pedals, trans/mount, and wiring. You should only need the small harness (I forget the name of it) that goes down to the trans/starter, connects to the front harness near the steering gear.

Correct me ifI'm wrong guys.

Flexplate. :)

I don't think the ECUs are different.

The ECUS are a little different.

If the engine was never run hard, it's probably dead... running lightly is some of the worst abuse you can do to a rotary.
