19" rims will they fit?

i was wondering if 19" by 7" or 8" rims would fit onto a 89 gxl? its stock suspension and all. but heres the other question will they fit if i get racing beat lowering springs and kyb agx's?

X-JaVeN-X 11-11-05 02:17 PM

eh...why do you want 19" rims? Is this a show car?

MattB 11-11-05 02:31 PM

one question...WHY?

actually i dont really want an answer...just buy a honda and put your RIMS on that...put 17 inch WHEELS on your 7.

Turbo23 11-11-05 02:39 PM

17s or at max 18's

SonicRaT 11-11-05 02:44 PM

Why bother? If it's still a non-turbo, a set of 16s or 17's will be all you'd ever want (and for the love of god don't even dare go throwing on some random 50lb stupid ass rims)

RotaryEvolution 11-11-05 02:46 PM

this is an obvious joke...

SonicRaT 11-11-05 02:48 PM

you have too much faith in humanity if you don't believe people could be this stupid ;)

KompressorLOgic 11-11-05 03:04 PM

WRD to that homie!

Why stop at 19's when 20's are just around the corner!!

Turbo II-FB 11-11-05 03:14 PM

wouldnt you lose power putting wheels of that size

1990RXHeaven 11-11-05 03:17 PM

how about this flamers...

With enough money enything would fit but 19s are gonna need some serious work. You'll prolly have to cut the body up and have no suspension. 19s look big on full size sedans and will be gimungus compared to the RX. since all you have is a stock gxl, im guess you dont have the ability to donate all the time and money that will go into the project. I assume this but I know it may not be true. Anyways, 19s are too big for just swap and go. Certainly not with rb lowering springs. What is your plan, do you just want bigger wheels or are you trying to acheive something other than braggin rights? Once you've got that it may be easier to go from there.

snowball 11-11-05 03:34 PM

ricer *cough cough*

gerbraldy 11-11-05 03:36 PM

I have 27's with 355's on my 7, 19's should fit no problem ;)

here is a couple fc's over here in aus, one with 19's and one with 20's. lol

fc3sfreek 11-11-05 05:01 PM

actually 19's will fit on with no modification. i had a friend who put 19" racing harts S15's on his car and they only rubbed up front on hard turns, and they made the car extremly slow but they fit nonetheless. also the car will look like a monster truck

90WhiteVrt 11-11-05 05:29 PM

Yes 19's will fit and so will a 30 inch woofer in the back. Buy a cadillac if you wanna do that shit.

1990RXHeaven 11-12-05 12:10 PM

i just want to know why all this crap is posted. The guy asked a question, and as wayward you think it is, can't he just ask a question? He didn't ask how you think it would look. He just asked a technical question. Why is that a crime. Some people aren't like you guys. Some people, believe it or not, have different feelings about the way they mod their cars. Why do you have to be like this?

Silverfc88 11-12-05 12:17 PM

^Agreed.

The 19's should fit with something like a 225/35R19 tire.

scathcart 11-12-05 12:35 PM

215/35R19 for the front and 245/30R19 will keep the stock tire diameter and keep the speedometer and ABS working accurately.

With the correct offset, the rims will fit just fine, even with RB springs.

What rims are you wishing to run?

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer.

^^

Bling, maybe?

KeloidJonesJr. 11-12-05 03:35 PM

get some fender flares

dsmrx7 11-12-05 05:04 PM

19's will certrainly fit, but not with your stock suspension. The front springs will hit the front rims. 19's also fill up the wheel wells nice. Here's a picture of my 7 with 19''x8'' ADR Fuel Rims with 215 35 ZR19 Nitto Neo Gen tires (the tire shop got a workout trying to put the wheels and tires together, LOL) and TEIN HR Coilovers...

ForsakenRX7 11-12-05 05:12 PM

Man, your bike wheels dont look right. They look...I dunno ,too skinny I guess.

staticguitar313 11-12-05 05:44 PM

16s are all you ll ever need, i beat on my car daily, i prefer to have 16s so theres more tire and less rim, less weight. As far as width goes 7 are no problem and 8s will fit easy in back and a tight squeeze up fron unless you have coilovers, i have 225s all around and the fronts are about 3mm away from rubbing they also fit nice to the outer fender.
