I heard there a way to modify the bosch 1600cc injectors to fit the fc secondary fuel rail without having to upgrade to a new one. Is this so? The person that told me also linked me here but I couldn't make anything out from teh website.

The way he is showing involves switching the top of the 1600cc with the stock injector and using that in the fuel rail. I don't know how he expects it to work with the large overhanging flange on the top, but if it does, go for it

The only thing you do is cut off the plastic below the top o-ring. Very easy to do. What some people did was use additional o-ring with the one that came with the 1600cc. Safe guard against leak I guess. It's a good idea something I did as well.

Drill the factory rail out to 17/32, approx 1/4 deep and the 1600's fit without modification..max

 

Is that only for s4 fuel rail or what? I have an s5 fuel rail and the actual part the injector goes into is 20/32 which would only leave 1.5/32 wall all the way around and would be very hard to get it to drill exact because a slight shift and there would be a hole.

 

chill out...it has an o-ring... use a drill press and get it as best you can, and it will work fine.

Im not concered about how "clean" or how straight I get it, its the wall is VERY thin the way it is, and I know the s4 rails are aluminum and thicker than the s5 steel rails.
