13b superchaged with a 600 holly 4barrel

In your minds out here, what do you guys think it will put out, now mind ya mine put out 172 to the rear that was with the efi, what do ya think this will do??? give me some thoughts here.we have taken off the efi and put this 600 4 barrel with a holly hp fuel presure regulator, havent had on the road yet , still tweaking it.

Once tuned I'd say around 195-215. The EFI/intake really isn't the problem with making power.

I agree with SonicRat...

and have to ask why would you bother with a carb set up??? Or is it just like the doors, you are doing it just to be different, and daily usability and functionality be dammed.

I would imagine the carb would flow a little better than camden's fab'd intake for the EFI, but other than that it's just because people tend to be intimidated by EFI and it's compontents.

But wouldn't you agree that a professionally tuned EFI setup would make more than a rough little carb setup would?

Indeed!

That's the nice thing about an EFI Controller.. besides the fact that i'm sure it's a lot cheaper than a (purchased new) carb'd setup, you also can load fuel/spark maps as needed. "i'm going to be cruising around town. I'll just load up my smooth idle settings". "I'm going to the track, i'll load in my professionally tuned, max-power map once I get there." kinda thing..

thats just it , it was the intake, i was tired of messing with the dam thing. so i went to the junk yard picked up a carb for 35 bucks , bought a fuel preasure reg , and off i go. took care of all the probs i was having . im just happy to be driving it after three months of trying to figure this dam thing out, thanks for ur thoughts, rx7fromcal

RX7FROMCAL 06-13-05 12:07 PM

well my gage said 9 but who the hell knows, it did put out what they said it would , but yes your right , i was disappointed big time in the numbers, but there were other factors involved, soooooooo we shall see how this does , hell i just wanna drive the car, and have desent acceleration. will keep ya all updated.
