13b NA to 13bT Swap

Hey guys I'm currently doing a swap for my rx7. I have a few problems: The harness is right hand drive, the MAF harness, an unidentified harness it cut.
I could easily lengthen the harness to convert it to a left hand drive, but about the MAF harness and the unidentified one, I have no idea where they go. I'll post pics later

I went that route and used the JDM harness. Uncut, it will barely reach with creative routing.

At the very least, you will also lose your windshield wiper harness, cruise control, and your coolant temperature wire for gauge in the cluster.

What I WISH I had done is used my NA harness and lengthened a few wires and added the wire for the knock sensor on the turbo. Its proably less work and probably fits better.

Anyhoo, if you are feeling artsy craftsy I have an extra JDM harness with that clip you are missing.

the drive shaft should fit right? but I noticed the original drive shaft has a guide spline while the turbo engine doesnt

Yep, for the most part that guard is just cosmetic.

just use the NA harness. saves you alot less hassle.. expecialy if you remove emissions. its all plug and play.

quick question, does the N/A pressure sensor work with the turbo swap?

Rotary_Powerd 03-19-07 09:40 PM

bump for answer.

No the stock pressure sensor will not read boost. You need an n318 for the s4.

Thats not an S4 engine from what I can see.

You need the S5 turbo pressure sensor.

Ya looks like a S5 motor.

BTW you gonna be selling that turbo ect that's on the n/a engine?

MaczPayne 03-20-07 02:21 PM

If that is an s5 motor and you have an s4 car, then you've got a problem.

???

i already bought an n370 pressure sensor so, it should be ok

but another problem. everybody is telling me that the NA drive shaft fits the turbo but actually, it doesn't! the NA drive shaft is smaller. So, I have to get a turbo drive shaft too.
