13b to carbed 13b, questions.

Me and my buddy recently picked up an 86 GXL with a blown rotor and excelent body and have been toying around with different engine ideas. Well this weekend we picked up a steal of an engine setup in SC. As per the seller listing this is what we got:
13B J-Bridge port (4port). 12a sidehousing with GLSE rotor housings. Rotors from a '91 (lightest ones). Carbon apex seals courtesy Mazdatrix. Setup for a carburetor, includes the intake manifold needed for a Holley Carburetor (4 barrel FTW). Less than 2k miles on it.

Also managed to get a trans with a reinforced gear set, solid motor mounts, header, and racing beat filter.

Right now we are in the begining of pulling everything out. Now we don't have the carb which is where my questions begin. I have been looking at holley carbs and have narrowed it down to the fact that i am going to need a 600-650cfm one but what i cant find is if any holley will fit on this system or is there a specific holley made for the rotary setup? Thanks and more questions to come.

goto this link on mazdatrix.com , they have a list for all the carbs and how much cfm they do and what port model they are for.

I just realized the price is for complete systems not just the carburator, so im not sure where you could buy just the carb. I would look on holley's homepage or contact them.

Appreciate the response, I have been looking on Mazdatrix since I started seearching out a FC, I could get in a lot of trouble on that site.

second question (gonna be posting these up as i think of them) As far as the ignition system goes i am thinking msd would most likey be the best solution. What suggestions should i use as far as rotary specific ignition systems since it is obviously going to need to be able to handle the leading and trailing spark duties.

Other viable option is dlidfis used in the FB, correct?

Ive always been told that when you go carb, use a 1st Gen Distributor and ignition setup... I would assume you could hook up some MSDs Blaster coils for more power but Im not intirely sure that the stock ignition would be able to provide enough spark...

by chance did you by that Jport from a guy named matt?

we are going with the dlidfis which does in fact use the Electrical distibuter out of the 1st gen. but i have been told and found one site that shows you can rewire the stock second gen coil to work with the system. I just need to find a better write up of how exactly to wire everything

the 1st gen FAQ is the only place i know of to look for a write up(or try your luck with searching)
