110 mph tire blow out.
So while driving down the interstate and showing my friend just what my car could do, i begin to slow down a little to merge with traffic when my driver side front tire has a blow out. Major blow out somewhere between 100 and 110 mph.
Amazingly I never lost control of the car and brought it to a stop without any damage (except the tire). I have to tell you, i alway new the handling on these are were great, but after this accident, I now realize just how wonderfully built they really are. The fun part was putting the spare on and having it blow out about 1 mile down the road. :( Now i have to wait until this weekend when i get paid to buy new tires. If i can convince my roommate to let me borrow his digital camera, i'll take pics of the tire and the spare. Fun stuff, really fun. |
spare with no air is worse than no spare at all.

My spare is flat too, but I went to Sears and bought a $20 air compressor that powers off of the cigarette lighter. Good investment. A can of Fix a Flat comes in handy too. Wasn't like the time in my old car I hit a huge pot hole and blew out both passenger tires though... That was interesting.
