10th AE Question

ok guys, my friend just bought a 10th ae for a nice price(a steal if you ask me) well the car had a haltech in it and someone stole it out of the car therefore we took all the wiring out and put back a turbo 2 harness in there (87t2) ok so now it has that rats nest removal but only lines that are under there are fuel lines and ONE vacuum for the regulator on the secondary fuel rail....ok now heres the deal....after swapping the harness we tried starting the car and it wont start...NOW we took apart the UIM again and seen that theres no fuel coming out of the return line....WHY is that??? we took the primary fuel rail off and cranked the car and the injectors are spraying..so why wouldnt it start??? we are getting spark also...so please answer me these two questions....why fuel isn't coming out of the return line and why even though that primaryies are spraying why wont it start??? thanks also where should we hook up that vacuum for the regulator???

the FPR could be locked shut? Though i don't know if it will shut 100%. Are you sure you took the right line off, there's possibly 3 fuel lines there (feed, return, charcoal canister)

The FPR can be given any vacuum source on the manifold, there should be 3 nipples on the front and 4 on the rear, use one of those. Your pressure sensor, brake booster, fuel injector air bleed and oil injectors will all require vacuum lines as well.

should have just went out and bought another haltech brain box, and plugged it in, if he got it for such a a steal. Why waste time and the efforts of others when you would probably have done it yourself evenually. work smarter, not harder. Just my 2 cents

ok...

ok thanks for the info but not everyone wants to go standalone right away......can afford it..also we had a t2 parts car sitting in the driveway so hey why not just switch it...thats what we were thinking..we're both still young plus we're both still pretty much stock why go standalone....anyways thanks for the info for those of you who did give info on the topic...you shouldnt post unless you have something positive or something to say about the topic..thanks anyway

ok its a 10 ae trust me he got the car for less than a grand because it was sitting in a backyard for a year and the haltech was stolen while it was there....ok guys we change dthe rails and now fuel is getting in and out of the lines BUT still no start....only cranking away...it sounds like it starts but the rpm would only go up to like 500rpm and then sit there then shut off..anyone no why???
