Are 100cc's over on injectors enough to flood the motor?

Anyways, turbo n/a project is done after a long week of drivetrain swap and getting the new surroundings on the n/a motor (TII Mainfolds/front cover/etc) Back to the point, i have a standalone that is not currently ready to go yet (some freaky firmware issues) so i just wanted to fire over the motor with a set of 550's for initial timing and maybe just to drive it around not getting into boost just to get most of my 87 octane out and get ready for tuning on 91. I do plan on picking up a SAFC to get my by in the mean time just to let you know.

When i tried firing over the motor its giving me a few chugs sounding like its ready to fire up but then it dies down like its flooded, i can smell gas too. So i know its flooded, i did the unflood procedure and it does the same thing. So my question to you guys is, do the 550s make that big of a difference in initial startup or am i missing some trick to getting the CAS in and getting a good inital setting for it. Just kinda curious to see what you guys come up with.

Thanks

If you have lower compression, then the 100cc difference will nip you in the ass. However, chances are that it's just been sitting a while and that's part of it's problem. I'd suggest pulling both leading plugs, pulling the fuses, and cranking the shit out of it for a while to get some oil pressure built up, get the gas out, and then put the plugs back in, throw in the EGI fuses and try again.

Car hasnt been sitting for long, i drove it in the shop to start last sunday, 90PSI all round last time i check but yeah, the plugs were the next step. Maybe a fuel pump cutoff would be a good thing to look into also....I might just wait till i get the SAFC and tune it out a bit down there.

Got it started, it was just really flooded, It really didnt like starting with those large of injectors. I got my SAFC now and hopefully i can get my hands on someones wideband tomorrow. I drove it around, probrably got into 3-4psi and i cant wait for the rest. Thanks for the help
