What parts do you guys want for the FC's?
 

Hi guys, I have a friend who's wondering if there's much of a market for making suspension parts for FC guys still. Rather than read through mass threads, i figured itd be better to take a poll and see what specifically people are looking to be designed and machined for the FC's. He's currently developing these parts for AE86 and 240 chassis with the input of some friends who are currently FD drivers.

1) FENDER BRACES
2) INNER TIE ROD SPACERS FOR MORE ANGLE
3) SHORTENED KNUCKLES ALSO FOR MORE ANGLE

Also, please let me know what typical prices would you guys be satisfied with for these parts?

Plug and Play Jet engine.

front diff brace .. adjustable pinion angle .. bolt on via the exhaust hanger studs and still allow the twin exhaust

@rotary#10 Thanks for your cooperation.! My friend said the fender braces were the single best mod he ever did for dampness for the corolla. Do you have fender braces, and do you think that they really make an impact?--would it be worth making a market for (no offense to us) cheap FC guys.

@bumpstart great input! These are all relatively simple parts that could be machined for cheap, and easy for the customers to just bolt on.

@insanerxpower I completely agree with these, the trouble is making them cost effective while having an exceptional part. What are your thoughts on stock modded knuckles?

My friend is interested in doing a 3 point brace and fender brace and can be within that price range. He can look into doing a modified knuckle and be competetive with the other vendors for these. The knuckle ackerman and length will be determined after a few different versions are tested. He's going through me because he isnt on rx7club

Are good ideas. Lets build a group interest thread first.

Also compare how much your competitors prices are and your cost to build price and your final product price. I am hoping this will work out. I say start with the smaller bolt on parts (front diff brace, adjustable pinion angle, Master cylinder brace. etc) and build some good reps then good for the fender braces and strut bars.
This would be a good tactic so you don't lose as much money in the beginning that will harm other projects.

@ takeajourney Post this also in the WEST section or on facebook in some of the rx7 groups. Gathering interest as much as possible and finding the right customers.

Ultra Racing from Malaysia has front fender brace for FC... they also make a bunch of different parts as well.

Front & Rear under body brace - the best one out there so far is AutoEXE, but that's very expensive (around $700 I believe), the ones that Cusco or Tanabe makes is just a bar for the front under body, and charges $150+

Master brake cylinder - Level Zero Motorsports has them, $95, made of aluminum. I have one and it's pretty good; mounts to the side of shock tower inside the engine bay.

A bolt in Harness bar would be good. Except it would need to bolt into something solid and NOT sheet metal. Some thick parts of the chassis.

I'd be interested in fender braces. NRg make a harness bar for less the 200

I have seen it on their website, but I haven't seen anyone install it.

Thanks for all the great input guys! Could we get some info on what you guys liked and didnt like from UltraRacing's and AUTOEXE's braces? Also who makes a harness bar?

Personally I think it's mostly with price and availability for the parts... cause we are all not made with money.

I haven't seen anyone putting on the Ultra Racing's fender brace, but they do look nice and I have put it down on my list to get it in the future. Here is a full list of what they offer for the FC: 1986-1992 (FC Chassis) | Ultra Racing Canada

AutoEXE parts works great, I think there are a few owners on the forum who has them installed. However, they are expensive! Corksport used to sell them, but not anymore due to low sales. Right now I can only find them from RHDJapan, $700 though: AutoExe Member Brace Set FC3S

There is also the pulley kit from RE Amemiya... these are light weight and anodized, a lot better than the stock ones we have. Expensive too: RE Amemiya FC Kouki Pulley Kit Mazda FC3S

One other part I think it's very useful would be the radiator cooling panel, OKUYAMA and many other manufacturer makes them, but what I know is that it's not a direct bolt on, modification has to be done. Most owners make their own cause it's a lot cheaper, but for those of us who doesn't have access to machinery and tools, this is a good part to have: OKUYAMA Carbing Aluminum Radiator Cooling Plate

Personally I think the Master Brake Cylinder Brace is very good, the one produced by Level Zero Motorsports is a very good part for $90: Level Zero Motorsports
Unless these can be produced at a lower price and provide better results, I wouldn't replace the one I have currently.

4) my FC to run

On a serious note, anything to make more angle cheaply would be nice. Though I'm not anywhere near buying drift parts. Rebuilds are expensive.

NRG makes harness bars for FC, the size is 47 inches, $250: Seat Belt Harness Bars | NRG Innovations

Autopower makes roll bar that has bolt on harness bar, around $700 depending on which type: Autopower Industries - Roll Bars

hioctane-dtc, thanks for all the golden input man! Looking at Autopower Industries' Roll bars, they may look nice but they are held together by MIG welding. MIG welding generally is messy as well as short circuiting, which does not offer deep penetration for the welds. If we were to offer a color, such as seafoam green in all of the braces--would that reel you in or would a primered color be more ideal because you are gonna paint it anyways.

I think primered color would be more ideal for everyone, cause everyone has a preference of what color scheme they want for their vehicle.

Mine is black and I like to keep most things stealth, cops are not that friendly with modified vehicles in Vancouver.
