vanishing clutch fluid over night
so i awoke this morning to find a leak on the side of my driverside fender. upon greater investigation, i popped the hood and noticed that my clutch fluid reservoir tank was completely empty (i just topped it off last night). would anyone know which part would be the leaking culprit from these pictures (clutch master cyl, reservoir tank, any hoses, assembly)?? thanks

AFAIK, there are only 3 parts, master cylinder, hose, and slave cylinder. Has to be one of those. Are there any apparent drips in the engine bay?
|
no apparent leaks from the engine bay... and its wierd cuz last week i topped it off, then yesterday i noticed it was midway and last night i topped it off again and then this morning with the car parked all night it was completely empty... LOL

just filled the reservoir tank again last night to see if this morning it would happen again and without my suprise the clutch tank was empty again. i guess ill bring it in to have the master/tank/hose checked because something is for sure leaking

Yes, something is for sure leaking and the best/easiest fix is to replace the master, the slave and the hose.
|
got it checked. the clutch master cyl was the definate culprit for the leak. the slave and hose were fine/intact. ordered the part and will get it done tomorrow. my thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed in this thread. MODS please close. thanks :)
