Those looking for the led S5 lights.
Found a couple sets while combing through all 5300 items listed on yahoo japan auctions... sadly not what I was looking for. $250-380 +deputy fees and shipping

Those look a bit odd, kind of like truck lights. I want some like this for the FC.

^love that look on fd's. Never seen anything close to similar on an fc tho.

I made a set for myself and then a couple of friends. Haven't made any in the last few months.
I make the boards myself since it's not worth doing a batch run of these board in large numbers. I got a cnc machine recently and plan on using it to make "prettier" versions https://imageshack.us/a/img818/7493/...1541624073.jpg https://img189.imageshack.us/img189/6609/bch2.jpg A shot on George's FD car. http://cdn.speedhunters.com/wp-conte...lv12bts-19.jpg Video I made of my prototypes on my car. The turn signal halo is now turn signal only. Not on with running lights |

I'm working on some that I can make easily. Mine are all hand made and etched so it's a total pain and not as good quality wise.
I'm in the process of reworking it to use my cnc machine to do the hard work. Still in the initial stages. Code is almost ready for the led side. Working on making the power distribution board next. Then I'll make a little plexiglass enclosure to hold it. Test cut in some plexi to see if it was cutting right. CNC's can be a bitch to get calibrated. https://img692.imageshack.us/img692/1799/wiw1.jpg |

Are you familiar with using fiber optic LEDs?
|
I'm still waiting for updates

Sorry dudes, Been crazy busy with building an FD.
Took the job of putting it back together in May and have had serious road blocks (Blown motor...) About to get it running again and will have free time to get back on the tails. My Benchtop CNC was being a bitch too. Stupid amounts of backlash causing it not not be accurate enough for the small pcb traces. I did a bit of adjusting and hopefully I removed enough to get some neat traces out of it. Here's a tip for CNC hobbyists. Sub $1k CNC machines need a lot of work before they work well.... ughh :D https://img690.imageshack.us/img690/3474/ijqr.jpg Street ported motor with new T2 housings GT4088 turbo Simplified efi harness ID 1000 Primaries ID 2000 Secondaries Full Function Engineering Fuel rails AEM 340lph pump PFC |

Sub $1k CNC machines need a lot of work before they work well.... ughh it's easy to spend $1k and still need to work out minor bugs but it's always best to start with a good machine and the Denford is very good for small intricate work. fine tuning is such a royal pain in the ass. the machine actually worked flawlessly but setting it up, converting images to code and making adjustments took a few weeks. |
Hey Digi, when ever your ready to do a batch of fc tails i'll be ready. No rush over here.
|
hey Digi any chance you'd be willing to share those board files from eaglepcb? i've been playing around with eagle trying to make a decent set since i was inspired by your thread to make my own but can't seem to get everything looking right
|
im down over here too just gotta get another housing
|
Hey dudes, I'm back with an update.
Ditched doing it on CNC. Wasn't going to be precise enough. Decided to learn how to make a board that can be sent off for prototyping. Once I get them in the mail. I'll wire them together and see if I screwed anything up. Sneak peak :D https://img600.imageshack.us/img600/5294/1l7d.png |
