Saratoga top and visor value?

Hey Guys,

So long story short the guy I bought my RX-7 from 7 years ago liked moonroofs. So when I bought my car it had a moonroof and visor/wind deflector installed. It came with the original body colored sunroof in the moonroof box which I immediately swapped out for. The moonroof has been sitting in it's original box in my garage since then.

I tried searching but the information I found is only about the glass saratoga tops. The box is clearly checked "engineering plastic". Has an odd bronze tint to the "glass".

What do you think a fair price for the moonroof and wind deflector (the original box too if someone wants it, lol) would be?

Thanks guys,

I have seen the moonroofs go for $500.

Wow, that's kind of ridiculous.

The plastic ones dont go for all that much iirc. The two styles of glass ones go for 400+ now.

The 2 most common glass roofs are Pacific Glass and Saratoga...The Pac Glass is stationary iirc and the Saratoga which is on my FC is actually a fully retractable roof like the factory one making it more expensive...

Pac Glass ( I sold 2 at $400 shipped)

I paid $700 (shipped) for my Saratoga....

If yours is plastic (which is easier to make than a glass copy) I would say $150-$200 should be fair if its in decent shape...

I'm curious as to the mounting and look of it....can you post pics?

Mounts the same as factory. I will post some pics when I get a chance to get over to my parents house.

the plastic ones had a fiberglass frame work that the plastic was glued to.
These sometimes came loose- like it did on my old car when the new owner went down the 1/4 mile and shattered into pieces

trick was to always operate the car with the roof tilted because when it was closed all the way it wanted to lift
