Rolled fender pics:
I want to see pics of FC's with rolled out fenders cause I'm about to baseball bat mine since they're rubbing with 225/50/16 tires on 16x7 20mm offset wheels. I'd like to see pics and what method the owner used to roll.
Thanks! example: http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...cleanfcwv7.jpg |
Use a heat gun and roll slowly if you don't want to crack the paint.
|
Also, they make a tool that is made for rolling fenders. I think they call it a "fender roller," but I could be completely mistaken.
|
do a search for 'baseball bat' and you'll find the thread made on rolling.
|
Slammedblk7 did his with a bat. Do a search on his name, his car is definitely eye candy.
|
learn the difference between roll and pull.
roll = just rolling the inner lip up pull = actually pulling out the fender itself, like you posted. |
^Ah I didn't know that. I might try this sometime then.

http://tunerbase.com/RX7/rear.JPG http://tunerbase.com/RX7/100_2094.JPG only do it if you have a reason to do it.. like you have wheels that demand it.. otherwise the sunken in wheels look is very silly. But at least its not like those people who put widebody fenders and have horrible size wheels that dont even demand the extra clearance. |

Mine are not perfect but they took about an hour a side with a fender roller. I only rolled them because I run 18x9 +15, 17x10 +12, and 18x10.5 + 16 in the rear. I am also going to have to roll and do a slight pull on the fronts due to running 18x9.5 +16 now |
^ damn and i thought my weapons stuck out alot . . .
|
you used a roller fender and thats the result .. wow
|
Yeah seriously, I've seen baseball bat fender jobs done that look almost factory. I think its all in how much time and effort you put into it.

Don't take it personal, my comment wasn't directed to you anyway. If you took a little more effort to it you could straighten yours out with a baseball bat...
|
Im kinda late on this thread but, anywho... I feel sometimes the fender roller tool is a bit too mechanical per-say, as I think the bat lets you physically control what you're doing and how you do it. The trick with the bat method is knowing the technic
