Alright, Here are some DAY time pics so you can see the car a little bit better.
watched the Atkins Rebuild video Really good to know and to see how it all works... Decided BLACK is going to be the color! Im getting some work on the motor done tomorrow. my front cover is cracked and there is a gasket sticking out of it causing a MAD oil leak. That gets fixed tomorrow ! thank god! http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...2/IMG_0536.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...IMG_0544-1.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...2/IMG_0532.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...2/IMG_0535.jpg S5 LIGHTS on it WAY!! |
Looks alright, especially for a work in progress. +1 on losing those lights, and those wheels are not my style, but its your car. : )
|
Thanks for the comments. Next step is new BLACK paint and The interior is gonna get a little touch up, new seats and what not!

Please oh please do. Otherwise it will be worn out and I will have to sell you the one I have sitting around.
|
you might also want to move your front plate somewhere where it wont obstruct your grill. you want as much air to flow through that radiator.
|
enjoy your new money pit  nice looking car tho.

Sorry for this question but what is the AFM?? if i know what it is i can fix it. the AFM is your Air Flow Meter and its the metal boxy looking piece that is connected directly to your air filter. it must be sitting flat. refer to the picture i have enclosed http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/i...n/CIMG1385.jpg |

Im getting the Front cover replaced on the motor because of a crack in it and A gasket sticking out causing a big oil leak. Should have it back soon. Found a good shop that Atkins Rotary reccommended |
Well, I got the Oil leak fixed and its not having an issue.. Finally
i also got some S5 Lights cheap thanks to Shadow7 You rock man!! they are installed and here are some pics of them at night when they are on.. I talked my Girl to help me. she is finally getting intrested in cars !! Anyways here are the pics. Before the Install http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...Picture013.jpg After Install http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...2/IMG_0558.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c7...2/IMG_0557.jpg Also I had my N/A dynoed last night... 30 bucks for 2 pulls it was good this is on my n/a all stock exept for flowmaster exhaust First Run: 111.9@RWHP at 6,000RPM 115.5 ft/lbs Second Run: 114.1@RWHP at 6,200RPM 117.4 ft/lbs The car needs some work.. it had a bad rebuild... |
man, those tails are busted to hell
|
Jesus christ....this is worse than honda tech.
Unless somebody's car is completely flawless or rediculous fast, they catch shit. FTR, his reverse lense is cracked. I'm sure he likes them though. |
Yeah. They are not in the best of shape... But I got them cheap for what S5 lights go for and I think they still look good.
|
Lookin good. keep us updated...
|
diffnaly i will keep you guys updated.. The car is comming a long nice. I figured out why i dynoed so low is that my 5th and 6th ports arnt working right so i got to find out how to fix that problem and it should dyno at more HP
|
yeah n/a with headers and intake i have seem them pull 145-155 whp
so check and see whats the problem if not do a quick search on the forum for HOW TO on 5th and 6th port wire open...or better yet just remove the sleeves and cap the lower intake manifold And guys take it easy on the kid hes off to a good start....read a couple post up where someone corrected him on his afm , and he said he was going to correct that. so he is learning quick. no pistons your car isnt no where near this kids car condition so i would ramp on his tailights....lol OWNED BROTHER |
No, his car is nice. I wish i had his tails actually, cracked reverse lense and all.
If you've ever spent time on honda tech, it's an elite fest and if your car isn't a land speed record junkyard setup or mad tite jdm, it's trash. Really. Even if the car isn't even riced and subtly modified, it's still hated on. I see it on EVERY forum i go on. I figured the rx7 community would be a bit different since rx7's are bad ass cars. Do the supra guys act like this too? Again, i'm liking his car, not bagging on it. 87 t-66 pointed out his tailights were busted. They're not as bad as he came off. I wouldn't care if my car was finished with all the bells and whistles, i still wouldn't bag on his car because it's a seven and i dont see him doing anything wrong. |

Its strange but sense tomorrow is a holiday i get the day off of school and i just happened to have the day off of work to so All day to work on my car. There is a wrecking yard about 35 miles from me with JUST RX7's might just go up there and find some parts for my interior. |
