Pictures of Full Done/Custom Interiors

I'm not 100% sure what I want to do on my FC's interior so I'm looking for pics of people with custom gauge setups, custom dashes, stereo systems, roll bars, race seats, harnesses, stripped or not, andything. Just trying to get some ideas for how I want to do my interior so even if it's near stock but you have a few things done post it up, I'm looking for any ideas right now.

blackedoutFC3S May 15, 2009 12:14 PM

Man Brandon how much did all this Re-Amemiya stuff run you?

CWestFD3S May 15, 2009 12:54 PM

Hmmm...Let see...this is a rough estimate but here we go...
RE A steering wheel - $250
RE A seats - $1600
Mazdaspeed FC seat brackets - $150
RE A boost gauge - $85
RE A harness pads - $40

Not installed yet but coming - RE_A dash cluster - $200

Where does everyone connect their 4 point harnesses at? Can you put them on a rear strut bar or is it best to put them through a roll cage?

bd180 May 19, 2009 01:47 PM

Most people put them through their roll cage. I wouldn't trust your strut bar unless it's really nice.

Thats what I figured, what about with a rear Mazdaspeed strut bar?

There's some things you shouldn't risk, this would be one of them - you don't want to mess around with seatbelts/harness', do it the right and safe way :icon_tup:

blackedoutFC3S May 20, 2009 08:46 PM

Is there no other way to connect them other then through a roll cage?

A roll cage is the best and safest way. The only problem I see with trying to use your strut bar is, I would think, it is not strong enough to withstand the inertia (for lack of better words) of a person in an accident and may bend or even break which would be worse.

I have heard of people using the rear seat belt brackets to attach the harness to, but this yields two problems. 1. you have to have a rear seat and 2. Using the rear seat belt brackets can actually will harm you more in an accident. The harness from the point of the top of your seat to the rear connection needs to be within a certain angle, otherwise you can cause back or shoulder injury in even a small accident.

I would recommend doing more research, some harness' are designed for use with seat belt brackets. Point is you do not want to skimp out or do anything that may be remotely unsafe when it comes to your seatbelt/harness.

Ya I gotcha thanks alot for the help man!

Anybody else with full interiors with race seats etc?

blackedoutFC3S May 23, 2009 10:24 AM

I've been looking for places to put my turbo timer and I want to fiberglass the center counsel... I've seen people do it on here before just wondering if anybody could post some pictures of what they done

trueimport May 23, 2009 10:55 AM

Just an FYI you don’t have to have rear seats to have rear seat belt mounting points. If you take the bins out there are black plugs in the threaded holes that the rear seat belts would have been mounted to from the factory.

Raid3n May 23, 2009 11:18 AM

if you're talking about the lap belts, that is an unsafe mounting location as it would have the harness mounted in such a way that it would be pulling down on you. that would do more harm than good in a crash, i.e. compact your spine.

i believe straight out is ideal, but no more angle than like 20-30°?

TiddlesFC3S May 23, 2009 04:30 PM

Sorry to be off topic but does anyone know where I can get one of those din size guage holders? (like the one in 87 t-66 pictures).

Jeffc3s May 23, 2009 07:41 PM

Anybody with Momo MonteCarlo or Competition wheels on their interiors? Im between these two... hmmm
